I know what you’re thinking. Backstage at the May/September romance movie “Cum to Daddy” must have been a forest of men’s support garments redolent of Ben-Gay, scotch, and pumped-in oxygen. But how wrong you’d be! Actually the room was filled with the giddy hysterics of nubile, naked women, delighted to be paid in cash.

It’s winter in Budapest, and the spritely Frank Thring, a British pensioner, is clearly having the time of his life, which has just entered its seventh decade.
“I am the envy of men half my age,” he said. “Maybe even a quarter of my age, truth be told.”
Frank wears the same Army-style jacket he doubtless wore during the Boer War, and as he cozies up to a series of local 20-year-olds, all of whom seem (at first) a little skittish, one imagines Mr. Thring leading a safari filled with barely-legal porn performers where once were giraffes. But we understand that Thring is a man of experience, and that is where we can draw comfort.
As his photographer poses with a naked Cristal May, Thring points out that “Russian girls are very sexual. You just have to touch them all the time.” What a tour guide! Damn straight I’m using that knowledge next time I’m in the gulag.
Thring throws some of the heavy lifting over to veteran performer Leslie Taylor, himself no spring chicken, but the atmosphere of this movie is one of extreme gratefulness, which one doesn’t experience too often in porn (unless you’re watching a Steve Holmes movie – he thanks God every day for inventing porn).
“Something I want you guys to understand,” says Thring, “is that I am just a normal guy. Sometime it goes up, sometimes it doesn’t. So truthfully, I’m now 60, old enough to be her grandfather. And Mr. Thring’s humility turns out to be one of the many selling points of this DVD, as it is clear that this guy is very happy to be there, and the girls are treated to a day of worshipful treatment.
